Welcome to the Stirling Business Panel
FINALIST - ENTERPRISING BRITAIN AWARDS 2010
Launched in 2009, the Stirling Business Panel gives local businesses a voice in strategic planning, and is an effective way to raise important subjects and discuss business concerns on issues and services that affect businesses.
Membership continues to grow and has now reached 740. This healthy membership ensures that the business community has a strong voice in how policy and future planning for this area is shaped. The Business Panel continues to influence the local response to strategic issues which affect all our businesses. It ensures that the business view is taken into account in areas such as land use, roads, parking and business support.
By developing links with Forth Valley College and the University of Stirling, the Panel is able to inform the development of training and courses that help meet the needs of the local business community.
The results of the 2010 Business Survey can be viewed online here.
The results of the Business Survey are important in helping to shape strategic policy for Stirling as it effects the business community. Results of previous surveys can be found in the 'Reports' section of the website.
The Business Panel helps to promote events taking place in and around the Stirling area which are relevant to the business community. We are currenlty preparing for our Spring Trade Fair in 2012. With fifty eight stands, speed-networking and an all day bistro cafe run by the students and staff of Forth Valley College, Raploch Campus, the event was well received by local businesses.
2012 also sees the launch of the first 'Stirling Business Awards', sponsored by HSBC. The Awards ceremony will be held on 25th October at the new Forth Valley College and will celebrate all that is best about Stilring and Stirling businesses.
This year will see the first Stirling Business Awards, with presentations in October 2012 at the new Forth Valley College Campus at Kildean.
If you have something exciting to tell us about your business or have comment to make about local events, get in touch and help Stirling Business Panel. If you are not already a member of the Stirling Business Panel, then you can register on line here.
We look forward to you helping to develop the Business Panel as an effective voice for local business interests, both now and into the future.
Yours sincerely
